What's the best way to farm FoW for Obs Shards
I need to farm Obs Shards in FoW, but am wondering what builds people have the most success with ??
I currently run kcp's Necro build, but keep dying at the group with 2 ele's mesmer + 2 patrolling ele's.
I usually drop an average of 1 or 2 shards per run, just taking the first group to the left, the 2 monk + 2 beast group, the 2 ele + mesmer + warrior + beast near the tower and the Abyssal groups before dying at the aforementioned point.
However, I need either a better build (not tried the Dervish build yet, but intend to), or better tactics if I already run the best build for shard farming.
If anyone can offer halp/advice, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks AW.
Looks a little slow, but will give it a go.
I was hoping to find something equivalent to the raw speed of the Ele/Me smite run in UW that got all my ecto in double quick time.
Any other suggestions ??
Cheers

Don't pull the 4 ele's with the mesmer, only pull the 1st group, leave the 2 ele's patrolling until last. Don't fight them down by rastigan, fight them on the same ledge that the shadow beast + monk x2 patrols along.
Shatter enchant every 25 secs in normal mode from mesmer, and about every 12 secs or so in Hard mode. Cover vital enchants appropriately.

If you have the resource, I'd suggest finding a partner rather than solo, 2 monks with the SpiritBond/Smite build can kill all the skeletons in less than 30 mins, including all the shadow army on the way there, everyone will have a full inventory by then and you resign and repeat, a lot more profitable.

I've had alot of success running the rit/r build that solos forest. I'm not too sure if it still works now but when i did it, i'd average 2-3 shards per run 4 if i'm lucky and there's usually always a chest.

kpc's build works wonders if you can time the shatters each time so you can cover enchants in time, since this build covers all of the shadow army you can gain many more shards with it than the others that don't focus on the army

You can either use my W/Rit FoW Run or my Mo/N build although KcP's N/Mo is better. [btw: w/rit can take Forest, Shadow Army, Beach and Cave]

If you know how 605+ smiter works, you can try that combo, its not so quick (as you can clean more than half Fow),
my best run I can remember was 27 shards + 1 ecto(from banshee) + 2 rubys! (I know unbelievable, but with a friend fire Ele, we also did the forgemaster quest ^^)
So if you want hours of fun with 2 friends/tons of drops/wanna forge the fissure armor thats the way

Beach (Scales + Dryders + Driftwoods) takes about 15-20 minutes. Same for the entire Cave. Although you've to get used to it. Forest is faster than the R/Me build since you can take like 9 foe's at the same time. Shadow Army I'm not sure about though. Lets say that you can clear the entire Beach, Cave and Forrest in 1 hour and 30 minutes.
